FIRST STATE AIRSHOW

The First State Airshow at Dover Air Force Base was an exciting event last month. Two moments really stood out.

First, we raced against a Ferrari from Precision Exotics on the runway. Pushing our speed and precision to the limits was such a thrill! The roaring engine, the adrenaline rush, and the cheering crowd made it unforgettable. Precision Exotics brought their amazing supercars for high-speed runway races. Racing that sleek, powerful Ferrari was a dream come true.

But the most memorable part was meeting an incredible family. The husband and wife both work for Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations at Dover. Their job is to respectfully transfer the remains of service members who died overseas. They ensure dignity, honor and care for the fallen and their families.

Talking to this family was very humbling. Their dedication to this solemn mission was truly inspiring. Hearing their stories reminded us of the great sacrifices made by those who serve. The dignified transfer process they oversee is a deeply respectful way to honor the lives lost for our country. This family embodies dignity and honor in everything they do.

The First State Airshow was a day we’ll never forget. The Ferrari race against precision exotics was an incredible adrenaline rush. But meeting the Mortuary Affairs family and learning about their important work left the biggest impact. Their commitment is a testament to the strength of our armed forces.

We’re so grateful to have performed at this airshow and met such amazing people. It reminded us of the thrill of aviation and the importance of honoring our service members.
